These clients came to Blackdog with a very specific idea for their master bathroom –create a master suite bathroom with a 48” round stainless steel soaking tub. Two bathrooms that did not function well for the family were divided into a half bath and master suite bathroom. Entrance into the half bath from the main hall allows for the kids to use the half bath but a pocket door between the two spaces allows privacy in the master bathroom. The focal point of the master is, of course, the tub but a large walk-in, barrier free shower with a seat (which doubles as a step into the stainless tub), a water closet and a trough style sink all add to functionality for everyday use. The half bath consists of a wall hung toilet and modern vanity with lots of storage. The dark tile, wenge vanity, stainless tub and trough sink all create the modern aesthetic the clients were seeking to round out their amazing contemporary home.
